“PRAYOG” Aims to Assist Principals in Implementing the National Education Policy 2020 Effectively
CBSE to Convey Free Online Training Webinars for all CBSE-Affiliated Principals
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a circular announcing PRAYOG (Pradhanacharya Yojna for Growth), a mandatory online training program. The objective of this training program, slated for July and August 2023, is to assist the principals of CBSE-affiliated schools in their mission to effectively implement the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in their schools.
Principals: The Torchbearers of Reform and Quality Education
The NEP 2020 acknowledges school principals as the torchbearers of reform and quality education. They are expected to lead by example and contribute significantly to the education reforms outlined in the policy.
As an important part of these reforms, PRAYOG will support principals in familiarizing themselves with the academic initiatives taken by CBSE and equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively implement these reforms.
A Series of Webinars
CBSE will conduct a series of free, two-day online training webinars for all its affiliated principals across the country. Each webinar will run for one and a half hours each day, accumulating to a total of three hours.
The webinar will integrate assessment sessions on a wide range of topics, including Competency-Based Education, Experiential Learning (such as Art Integrated Learning, Storytelling, Sports Integrated Learning, etc.), and initiatives like SAFAL, HPC, and SQAA, among others.
The three hours devoted to PRAYOG will be counted towards the 50 hours compulsory Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirement for the year.
Compulsory Registration and Participation via cbseshiksha email
All principals have been compulsorily registered for PRAYOG. They will receive the webinar joining link in their registered cbseshiksha email.
Importantly, principals must use their cbseshiksha email ID for attending these online training sessions. Certificates will be generated only for those who log in through their cbseshiksha email IDs.
