CBSE Term-2 Exam Pattern

CBSE Class 10 Term-2 Exams are proposed in March-April. CBSE has started the preparation for this exam. Term-2 will consist of various major question papers including Hindi and English for a total of 40 marks. Students will get 2 hours to solve these question papers. Painting paper will be of 15 marks and Home Science will be of 35 marks. According to the sample question paper released by CBSE, the question paper of different subjects will be in two to five parts. Very short answer type, short answer and descriptive questions will be asked in each part.

CBSE has also released the details of which question will carry how many marks in each part. Along with this, information about which question will be available in which section of the paper, information has also been given. The question paper of Science will come in three sections. Section A will have 7 questions and each question will be of 2 marks. Section B will have 6 questions. Each question will be of 3 marks. Section C will have 2 questions and each question will be of 4 marks. Internal choice will be given by CBSE in few questions out of which the student has to attempt any one question.

The examination will be held in these subjects in 10th

10th Science, Elements of Book Keeping and Accountancy, Element of Business, English Language and Literature, Hindi A, Hindi B, Home Science, Computer Application, Mathematics Basic, Mathematics Standard, Social Science, NCC, Hindustani Music Melodic, Hindustani Music P , Hindustani Music Vocal, Carnatic Music Melodic, Instrument Carnatic Music P, Carnatic Music Vocal, Painting, Arabic, Bengali, Assamese, Bahasa Melayu and other subjects papers will be conducted.

There will be questions from 5 sections in the social science paper

The Social Science paper will have 40 marks questions. In Section A, questions one to five will be of very short answer type. Each question will be of 2 marks. Section B will have to give short answers from 6 to 8. Each question will be of 3 marks. Answer to be given in 80 words only. 9 to 10 questions will be asked in Section C. These will be long answer type questions. Each question will be of 5 marks and have to be answered in 120 words. Section D will have 11 to 12 case based questions. In Section E, a question of three marks will be asked in two parts.

14 questions will be asked in the Mathematics paper

As per the sample paper released by CBSE, Class X Maths paper ABC will be in three parts. A total of 14 questions will be asked. Section A will have 6 questions. Each question will be of two marks. Section B will have 4 questions and each question will be of 3 marks. Option will also be given in one question. Similarly 4 questions will be asked in Section C.
