ISRO Free Online Course: ISRO started a five-day online course for students up to 10th-12th, register by July 20
Indian Institute of Research Organization (ISRO) has started free online courses for school students. ISRO, through the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), has invited applications from students for a five-day course titled ‘Usability of Remote Sensing and GIS for Environmental Studies.
The last date to apply for the ISRO Free Online Course has been fixed as of July 20.
This course is only for School Children.
The Aim Is To Make Students Aware
According to the notification issued in this regard, the objective of this course is to increase awareness among the students about remote sensing technology as well as its use for the study of the earth and its environment. Using satellite data and image processing can also help students understand the various nuances associated with the environment.
ISRO Free Online Course Classes Will Be Held From 26 To 30 July
Indian students studying in 10th, 11th, and 12th can apply for this course. This five-day course will be taught from 26 July to 30 July 2021. Its lectures will be streamed live on IIRS’s YouTube channel. Under this, there will be two online lectures of 45 minutes daily. One at 10 in the morning and the other at 12 in the afternoon.
Students Can Also Ask Questions
During the lecture, students can also ask their questions through the chatbox, which will be answered five minutes after the end of the lecture. Apart from this, students also have to give a quiz daily based on the lectures. In case a student is unable to attend the live session, they can attend the recorded lecture uploaded on the IIRS Learning Management System (LMS) portal. It will be updated daily at 3 pm.
