Mizoram School Reopening 2020: Schools in Mizoram will not open till the end of this year

The Mizoram government has decided to close all schools across the state by the end of this year. This decision has been taken to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic. This information has been given by Education Minister Lalchandama Ralte. Education Minister informed that classes of students from KG to 12th will be postponed till this year due to the Coronavirus epidemic. Because epidemic cases are expected to increase in winter. 

The Education Minister expressed the possibility that the schools could be reopened from 15 January next year. However, the final decision in this regard has to be taken by the executive committee of the state. Explain that due to the nationwide lockdown due to the Coronavirus epidemic, all schools and other educational institutions have been closed since March. However, regular classes for students of classes 10 and 12 were resumed from October 16, it was postponed again after several students were Covid positive. 


The state education department has also decided to continue online classes for this year till December 18 and from January 5 to 14 for next year. The department has agreed to cut the syllabus by 30 percent and directed the Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) to prepare model questions for students of classes 10 and 12, as they are expected to appear in the board examinations next year.
