NATIONAL SCHOOL ORAL HEALTH PROGRAM IN COLLABORATION WITH INDIAN DENTAL ASSOCIATION (IDA)

To develop a core asset of good oral health and safe sports for school children and teachers, CBSE in association
with Indian Dental Association (IDA) is planning to reach all the schools affiliated to CBSE. (Notification Number: CBSE/Dir.(Trg.&SE)/2021)

Program Objective

Dental Decay Free, Gum Disease Free & Safe Sports Schools of CBSE Accredited by IDA Commitment to Oral Health
Care under National School Oral Health Program of NOH Mission of IDA.

The program will have two Aspects-

EDUCATION: Delivered through Digital Technology
1. (i) Each school will be provided a virtual Oral Health & Sports Safety room on the digital platform Igesia
  Connect.
2. (ii) Each digital virtual room will have standardised education material created by IDA for school
  children and teachers.
3. (iii) Training on use of digital platform will be provided by IDA & Igesia Connect.
4. (iv) IDA will educate the students and teachers on good oral health and hygiene practices and sports
  safety by live virtual mode by using resource persons (doctors) and resource material available in
  each school’s own digital room.
5. (v) The school will have access to the virtual digital room on Igesia Connect digital platform to conduct
  their own health education by the teachers using the material available in the virtual room.
6. (vi) The education material created by IDA will be age appropriate.
7. (vii) PPT, PDF and VIDEO and IEC material will be available in the virtual Room dedicated to each school.
ORAL HEALTH CHECK-UP: Delivered in person
1. (i) Doctors from IDA will visit schools and conduct oral examination.
2. (ii) Provide advice to each child and teacher examined.
