NBT organises Pan-India essay writing competition for students on occasion of Prakash Parv

On the occasion of the 400th Prakash Parv celebrations of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji 


National Book Trust, NBT has organized a Pan-India essay writing competition for students on the occasion of Prakash Parv which marks the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur. NBT has invited students from schools, colleges and educational institutions to write 500 to 700-word essays on any one of the topics, Teachings from the Life of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, What I have learnt from his Life and his Teachings, or Relevance of Guru Tegh Bahadur’s Teachings in the Current Times.
 

The essay may be written in English or in any Indian language and submitted by the 20th of this month. Three of the best entries from each institution will be awarded. An
Essay Writing Competition is being held by National Book Trust, India across the
country for all schools and educational institutions.
Details of the Competition are: 

 Students can choose to write on any one of the following three topics :
a. Teachings from the Life of Guru Teg Bahadur;
b. What I have learnt from his Life and his Teachings;
c. Relevance of Guru Teg Bahadur’s Teachings in the Current Times 

 Competition is open for students of schools/colleges/educational institutions. 

 Students can write in any language of their choice. 

 The Essays have to be 500 to 700 words. 

 The schools need to send us the Best 3 Essays from their school. 

 Each Entry should clearly mention the name, class, school, topic & language. 

 The Essays have to be sent through e-mail at kwsharma@nbtindia.gov.in 

 The last date of submission of the Entries is 20th April 2021. 

 Three best entries from each school will be awarded books by NBT

  The schools and winners will be given e-certificates by NBT 

 The winners will be offered Free NBT Book Club Membership and the
winners from Delhi will also be offered free NCCL Library Membership 

 The schools will be offered NBT Book Club’s Institutional Membership. 

 The winning entries will be included in the Readers’ Club Bulletin. 

 The winners will also be featured on our social media pages. 

 A Webinar + physical event may be held with winning schools + students
